One Food, Ten Recipes

The last couple years has seen a huge increase in Greek yogurt consumption...and it makes sense! Greek yogurt is high in protein, low in sugar and sodium, and can be used in a variety of ways. Here are just a few ways to include Greek yogurt in your healthy diet.

Green Smoothie

Add it to your smoothie - this Green Smoothie was a big hit on Facebook!

Make a breakfast bowl with Greek yogurt, fresh fruit, and a sprinkle of granola or raw nuts.

Mix it up with a little almond butter and cinnamon for a delicious fruit dip like this Apple Dip.

Greek yogurt is one of the main ingredients in these healthy Banana Oatmeal Muffins.

You can even make ice cream! This Strawberry Peach Sorbet is a good one.

Use it in place of mayonnaise in tuna, chicken, or egg salad.

Create a healthy dressing (like this Creamy Greek Yogurt Dressing) using Greek yogurt and a variety of spices.

Add it to mashed potatoes for a creamier dish like these Yogurt Whipped Potatoes.

Satisfy that sweet tooth with these Yogurt Covered Blueberries or Strawberries.

Add a little protein to your guac with this recipe for Greek Yogurt Guacamole!

Greek Yogurt Guacamole

Ingredients

  • 1 avocado
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup red onion, chopped
  • 1/3 cup tomato, chopped
  • Sea salt and pepper, to taste

Directions

Cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop out the insides. Mash the avocado innards in a bowl until smooth. Add Greek yogurt and stir until well combined and creamy. Stir in onion and tomatoes. Season to taste with any seasonings you like...I usually just stick to a little salt and pepper, though.

What's YOUR favorite way to include Greek yogurt in your diet?
