5 Reasons to Take a Walk

Walking...it seems like such a simple exercise, but it's also incredibly effective. Walking is not only good for your body, it's good for your mind and soul, too!

Walking is awesome

The best thing about walking is that just about anyone can do it! A little out of shape? Start out with short walks at a slow pace...maybe just up and down your street. As you increase your endurance, you can increase your distance and your speed.

Another HUGE benefit of walking is that (weather-permitting) it gets you outside. After being stuck in the house or office all day, it's nice to get outdoors and breathe in the fresh air.

Walking outdoors gets more oxygen to your brain, helping your circulation improve. Better circulation allows you to think more clearly and feel more energized. That sounds like a win to me!

So get outside today and get walking! Thirty minutes a day is ideal, but do the best you can...every little bit counts! :)
